Barack Obama once again shared a list of his favorite books Can’t fault his taste as I’ve already read and enjoyed Kin, Whistler, and Seek Immediate Shelter. Plus, I’ve loved the first two books in Colson Whitehead’s trilogy. I do hope we get to one day get a fun surprise and find a genre romance or horror novel tossed in.

The Odyssey review that crashed a site

The Odyssey film adaptation has done what studios hope with summer releases and gotten all the buzz. And then came a review in The London Review of Books by Emily Wilson, who is the first woman to translate The Odyssey to English. A rave review would not have crashed the site so as you can imagine, if you’ve yet to read it, she had a lot to say.

They made a 5th film in the Attack of the Killer Tomatoes franchise, and John Astin is in it! I watched the first film a lot on VHS as a kid—in case you thought I was normal or anything. And if you’ve never heard of this franchise George Clooney is in Return of the Killer Tomatoes.

And while I am really sick of all the remakes of everything (and Pierce Brosnan is my forever Bond love) I am absolutely here for anything Michael B. Jordan.
